12 days of summer – day 5 |shopping|

Day 5 of ’12 Days of Summer’ is dedicated to a jewelry designer that I have been drooling over for years—Kate Davis Jewelry! Kate is a native of Canada whose love of the ocean led her to become a certified scuba instructor as well as obtain a degree in Marine Biology. She eventually settled down in Charleston, SC where she began focusing on her line of custom jewelry. All her pieces are original designs & handcrafted in her studio in Charleston. To say that Kate’s pieces are pretty is an understatement. More fittingly, I prefer to describe her designs as absolutely breathtaking! Kate Davis Jewelry pieces are made from a wide array of materials including 14k gold, sterling silver, topaz, turquoise, Australian opal, among others. I’d like to think that her pieces are what mermaids dreams are made of 😉

Kate Davis Jewelry captures the natural beauty of the ocean in designs that are elegantly raw. Hammered details & asymmetrical edges give them a strong organic presence, while the pristine gemstones add a glamorous juxtaposition. As a fellow lover of all things ocean, my life goal is to be constantly dripped in her creations. I linked some of my favorite pieces of hers but I can confidently say that there is not one single piece that I’m not completely in love with. I do find it necessary to warn you to proceed with caution…as you will likely become instantly addicted after checking out her site. Also, for anyone shopping for me this year, I’ll take one of everything. Please and thank you.
