Each fall I’m confronted with the burning desire to buy a dozen new jackets so I can participate in the annual shift from summer to fall fashion. Unfortunately for me, purchasing a pile of heavy, fluffy, faux fur coats is kind of a waste considering the region I live in. So this fall I went on the hunt for the perfect middle of the road jacket/coat. I wanted to find one that could keep me warm if I traveled to a colder climate, but that I could also wear on cooler days here in Miami without being overkill. The answer to my prayers came in the form of a suede moto jacket from Current Air.

Here in Miami I simply throw this jacket on over tops or tees to give me a little added warmth. It’s lined with a really soft, light material so you don’t have to worry about overheating. For the holidays I visited family in Virginia, where I layered it over sweaters and found that it kept me nice & cozy in 30 degree temps. It may be a bit of a splurge item, but the quality of this jacket is so awesome that I known I can count on having it for years to come. I always gravitate towards tan, but if this color isn’t your thing then you’re in luck—it’s also offered in a millennial pink, soft jade, & muted laguna blue [links above in “shop my style”].
My hope is that this post also offers a little style inspiration for the upcoming season. Before you know it, you’ll be pulling out the shorts & skirts again! As always, sending lots of tropical vibes your way!
