With spring weddings on the horizon, here’s my hot take on guest attire:
You’re not upstaging the bride. Unless you roll in wearing a 6-foot-wide hoop skirt or (God forbid) white, off-white, ecru—or anything even close—you’re just dressing up to celebrate your person’s big day. And that’s exactly what you should do.
Even though I got married a hundred years ago, if I slip into the overpriced, toe-crushing Jimmy Choos of a future bride, I’d love to walk into my reception and see my people serving looks. I mean, what’s the point of being the main character if your guests show up in jeans?
So the myth stops here. Dress up, dress out & show the bride how important her day is to you by rising to the occasion with your ensemble.
