This past summer my husband & I made a trip to the island of St. Thomas to visit his parents who were living there at the time. Unfortunately, by the time I was ready to publish this story, Hurricane Irma ravaged the Virgin Islands and it just didn’t seem right to post at the time. These islands still have a long way to go to recover, but I decided to go forward and share this in hopes of reminding everyone of the beauty that is still very much present down there. These communities rely on tourism to survive, so I know they’re working tirelessly to get back to working order as fast as they can. If you’re planning a getaway this spring or summer, I highly recommend considering a trip to the USVI.

I’ll also be posting a visual diary of the sites & scenery we experienced in St. Thomas and then from our catamaran trip to St. John as well! As always, sending lots of tropical vibes your way!
P.S. If you do end up making it down to St. Thomas and find yourself at Magen’s Bay, I suggest you snag a snorkel and then hunt for my diamond wedding band. It’s all yours if you find it as a reward for supporting the Virgin Islands 😉
