Recently I took a day trip down to the Florida Keys to do some island hopping & exploring. I was joined by my favorite Miami babe, Christie of Christine Michelle Photography. Not only is she an amazing photographer, but she also happens to be one of the funniest humans I know so it’s a win-win. Despite a gnarly seaweed situation that Hurricane Matthew had churned up, I couldn’t help but be taken aback by the many other magical aspects of the Keys. One of which being the miles & miles of abandoned bridges along the way down. I’m a sucker for architecture of any and all kinds. Said structures also being abandoned? Yes, sign me up.

For the couple short hours we would be spending in the car on the drive down, I wanted to wear something comfy yet still appropriate to be seen in public, so bye bye sweatpants & hoodie. With comfort and appropriateness in mind, I decided to opt for loose denim shorts & a super soft crochet top. Crochet was huge this past spring/summer & I’m here to say, as long as it’s still roasting down here in the tropics, I refuse to put the crochet away. In true form, I layered on the accessories & the star of the show is these Zacasha tassel necklaces. Seriously, these are some of the most beautifully-crafted necklaces I have ever seen/owned. I love being able to represent a Miami-based line too.
I hope this finds you well & inspires you to take a warm weather get-away this winter season or at the very least, motivates you to start planning one. Treat yo’ self, you deserve it. As always, sending lots of tropical vibes your way!
