Aloha, bestie!
If you’re here because you are expecting or plan to be, congrats! Pregnancy is a wild ride especially when it comes to dressing your body. We all know swimwear can be notoriously daunting, even when you’re not growing a tiny human inside you. I wanted to save some frustration by sharing my top 5 favorite NON-MATERNITY swimwear brands you will love pregs or regs…
Hunza G
The OG crinkle stretch sustainable fabric brand! This brands modern nostalgia at its core has classic styles with maximum comfort. Their suits are some of my favorites even when I’m not pregnant! Definitely worth every penny.
Fun Fact: The iconic blue & white cutout dress from the movie Pretty Woman worn by Julia Roberts on the cover was made by Hunza G (formerly just Hunza)!

Domino Swim One Piece – Would make for a killer bodysuit, too!
Jean Bikini Set – I own a similar style in purple, which I’ve worn absolutely into the ground and it still looks brand new. Again, worth the investment.

Citrine Swim
A small female-owned swim & apparel brand based in Charleston, Sc. The best silky smooth fabrics & styles are very family-friendly when it comes to coverage IMO.

Ellen Top – I loveee this top. Minimal for a good tan but gives great shape & support.
Alice Bottom – These are perfect for the first few months of pregnancy but get a little more snug as you grow, so might be too tight by the end? However, I loved the secure fit postpartum!
*Wearing a small in both top and bottom*
Hana Top – The straps can be tied a few ways which lets you customize the support & fit.
Raglan Bottom – This bottom is a great example of a more conservative coverage if you’re not a Brazilian cut gorlie like me.

Skatie
Next up, a female-founded sustainable swim brand based in Los Angeles. I am a ride or die Skatie girl because of the *buttery soft* fabrics that skim your body, but stay in place while playing in the waves. I cannot get enough of the more minimal coverage. Skatie absolutely dominates (IMO) in the world of swimwear prints. They just get it! Cool girl energy x 1000.

Ella Top – My FAVORITE top, the barely there triangle. I also love the Kahea & Darby.
Kristen Bottom (I prefer the side tie version of the bottom pictured) – It may seem counterintuitive to go super small when you’re feeling really big, but I swear it looks soooo cute. Enjoy that bump!
I believe this is their best selling one piece and OMG its the perfect canvas for this gorgeous print.

Bond Eye Swim
Australian-born swim brand that utilizes the “one size fits most” scrunch fabric model as well. A brand made to be seen, bond-eye swim is infused with the spirit of summer, salt-mist days + the electric nights of its home in Sydney.

Alicia Over The Shoulder One Piece Swimsuit
What else can I say? The back detail is easy & just so perfect. Simply the best!
Serenity Brazilian Bikini Bottom
This suit takes the classic triangle cut and makes it fun with a beachy ring detail.

Beach Riot
A brand known for their bold playful colors, eye-catching prints & timeless designs. Looking to add a little razzle-dazzle to your beach day? This Orange County, Calif. based company is perfect for you! An entire page on their website is dedicated to bump-friendly swim. Not to mention they also have most top-notch activewear.

Celine One Piece High Tide Rib
Their best selling one piece for obvious reasons. Good coverage & flattering cut out which will allow for optimal stretch as the months go on.
Effie Top Petal Pink Scrunch – Nice coverage and support without being bulky.
Phoebe Bottom Petal Pink Scrunch – I love how the scrunch gives a little bit of volume to the strap so it won’t look like it’s digging into your sides.

Laya Top – I would recommend sizing up one size as I think it’s a little on the small side. Also being a strapless, extra fabric is nice.
Laya Bottom – Again never hurts to size up but this does run TTS.
I hope this post helps you feel a little less lost when it comes swimwear & pregnancy or gives you a little inspiration on a style you may want to try out. No matter the takeaway, I know we all want to look and feel our best but my number one tip is to just own it. You may feel like an alien but in reality you’re a powerful goddess creating new life & everyone loves a baby bump in a bikini. Also, it may feel counterintuitive, but the smaller the better. So when all else fails, most tiny bikinis are bump approved.
