falling for red |style|

I’m a self-proclaimed neutral lover. I could happily wear white, tan, gray, & denim [because that’s a neutral in my book] every single day of the year. However, I’ve recently noticed that there is an ever growing list of colors that are finding their way into my closet. Red is one of them. I used to veer away from red because I always felt as though the color ended up wearing me, but I’ve gradually grown fond of the bright addition. Red is also such a great color for all skin tones—from pale princesses to bronzed beauties—everyone looks stunning in red. You may find that that you prefer a more orange- or blue-based red, but I promise there is a shade out there that’s perfect for you! I am typically drawn to deep rich reds and bright “orangey” reds. I feel like the orange-red (that can be damn near neon) really compliments my skin tone & meshes well with my tropical style.

This bag is the latest creation from Coach X Selena Gomez and it’s such a great way to incorporate red into your wardrobe for the fall & winter. Red is going strong as a color trend this season, so a bright bold bag like this one is a great way to join in on all the fun. I’m also excited to see all of the bright cherry, deep wine, and rich rust accents that will be popping up in stores as the new F/W products hit the shelves. I’m currently on the hunt for a few more statement pieces to add to my own collection. Burgundy ‘Old Skool Vans sound like a solid idea to me.

Hope you guys keep your eyes peeled for some fun red pieces to play with. Don’t be afraid to change it up from the typical muted tones that the fall season lends to us. Keep in mind that red isn’t just for Christmas; Thanksgiving deserves crimson leather pants too 😉 As always, sending lots of tropical vibes your way!

  2. LOVE this bag and the shade of red. I’m usually all about the neutrals as well (mauve, tan, whites), but am slowly getting on board with the brighter fall colors – mustard, red, + greens. Love it!
