islamorada exploring in beach bohemian chic |style|

The longer I live in south Florida, the more I find myself embracing my inner islander style. It’s no secret that I’ve always been a lover of the beach and all things water, but actually living on Miami time (south Florida’s equivalent to “island time”) has allowed my style to go full throttle “beach bohemian chic.” I love everything about resort wear, from the light fabrics to the loose fitting designs, but I’m particularly drawn to just how insanely comfortable it is. Just as some people seemingly live in yoga pants yet never attend a class, I often find myself wearing a bikini under my clothes—you know, “just in case” I meet an inviting body of water.  At the rate I’m going, my next post will be me explaining how to “DIY” a coconut bra, Lord help us all.

SHOP MY STYLE

One thing that I find reassuring when I think about how much I let my style morph & change, is being able to identify classic staples that my wardrobe can grow with. I have zero reservations about investing in a high-quality handbag because I know I’ll be able to use it for more than a season or two. If you also share my line of reasoning (aka justification to fend off that pesky “shopper’s remorse”), then I advise you to check out Coach 1941. Not only are their bags durable, but their designs are modern yet classic. The pictured Dinky crossbody bag is an updated spin on a traditional design that was introduced in 1973. If a bag like this one can stand the test of 40+ years, then I think it’s safe to say it can survive the ebb & flow of your own personal style. I trust this bag will become a staple of my wardrobe, especially considering its so damn versatile. Although I imagine adorning it with pom-poms, scarves, tassels, or chains, the bones of this bag are truly timeless.

So if your looking to add a new bag to your collection, you should definitely check out Coach 1941 & see all their tried-&-true designs. Even if your style doesn’t quite mesh with my own “beach bohemian chic,” maybe this post will provide you with some inspiration for the upcoming concert/festival season! Warmer days are on their way, so stay strong. As always, sending lots of tropical vibes your way.
